Gary Javitch has a wide and varied career in business and entrepreneurship, education and healthcare.  His unique blend of teaching, business, and civic experience gives him both the insight and the vision necessary to help your company.

Gary has taught at both the high school and college levels.  And for nearly 18 years, Gary wore many hats while serving as administrative vice president for a national manufacturing company.  During his tenure, he oversaw human resources, free-market purchasing in a supply/demand environment, and office administration, among many other duties.  As a bottom-line oriented leader, he pays close attention to producing quality results for the lowest possible costs.

He also sits on a number of charitable and non-profit boards and is most proud of his service on the board of the National Heart Savers Association, a heart-health advocacy group where he became familiar with many health-related issues.  NHSA successfully pushed congress into passing a nutrition-labeling act in the 90’s that resulted in total calories – specifically fats, carbohydrates and proteins – being listed on food packages.

A long-time Red Cross volunteer (23 years), Gary has taught instructors in CPR, life guarding and water safety.  He has also led classes in swimming for the handicapped and first aid.  Ever the volunteer, Gary has also been a prolific blood donor, giving more than 66 pints at last count.

In addition, as a part-time endeavor for the last 11 years, Gary has helped test medical students on diagnostic, interviewing and examining techniques for the departments of family practice and internal medicine at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. 

He holds a Master’s in Health Services Management, and is certified as a Health Promotion Specialist.  He is a former member of the American College of Sports Medicine as an exercise leader.  He has experience developing individualized wellness and weight loss programs.

In the office or in the classroom, he has performed needs analyses, developed project-lesson plans, and set goals – all skills that can be helpful to your company.
